FAQ

How much fertilizer do I need for my lawn?

Pounds of product per 1,000 sq ft = nitrogen rate ÷ (N % ÷ 100). Total pounds = that × lawn area ÷ 1,000.

How do I apply 1 pound of nitrogen per 1,000 square feet?

Divide 1 by the first bag number as a decimal. A bag with 25% nitrogen needs 1 ÷ 0.25 = 4 pounds of product per 1,000 square feet.

How many bags of fertilizer do I need?

Bags = total pounds of product ÷ bag weight, rounded up to a whole bag. Enter the bag weight to see it.

What do the numbers on a fertilizer bag mean?

They are N-P-K: percent nitrogen, percent phosphate, and percent potash by weight. The app shows how many pounds of each one you put down.

What does this not include?

Price, which rate your grass or soil needs, timing, spreader settings, and local rules on phosphorus or fertilizer use. Check the bag and your local guidance.
